Friends Receives $50,000 Grant from the National Park Foundation

Friends of Saguaro National Park is proud to announce that it has received a $50,000 grant from the National Park Foundation (NPF), the official nonprofit partner of the National Park Service. Awarded to catalyze our efforts as part of the Collective Campaign - a cornerstone of The Campaign for National Parks - this grant supports our ongoing commitment to preserving, protecting, and enhancing Saguaro National Park for everyone, forever.

This flexible funding underscores our shared belief in the power of partnership and our collective commitment to ensuring the enduring legacy of our national parks. With this grant, Friends is better positioned to increase and strengthen our fundraising capabilities, address current challenges, and build for the future.

The grant is part of a larger, joint nationwide effort between the National Park Foundation, the National Park Friends Alliance, and over 100 park partners like Friends - to collectively raise $4.5 billion by 2028 and further strengthen the philanthropic landscape for our national Parks. The Campaign for National Parks aims to meet the evolving needs of our national parks through critical investments in land and wildlife conservation, historic preservation, infrastructure upgrades, and more. Together with the National Park Foundation and organizations like ours across the country, we will ensure that our national parks - including Saguaro National Park - are cared for and will be enjoyed by visitors today and for generations to come.
